Our Moonlight White is harvested from 65-year-old tea trees growing in the misty mountains of Yunnan. The dry, sunny spring climate of southern Yunnan provides ideal conditions for crafting this delicate white tea.
It’s called Moonlight White because of its unique two-toned leaves — dark on top, silvery white underneath. Under the glow of the moon, the upper side appears pale, while the soft down beneath fades into the shadows, evoking a poetic image of moonlight over the mountains.
Rich in antioxidants, Moonlight White is considered “cool in nature” in traditional Chinese medicine. It is believed to reduce internal heat, counter inflammation and aging, support liver health, improve vision, aid digestion, and promote overall vitality.

Onze Moonlight White wordt geoogst van 65 jaar oude theebomen in de mistige bergen van Yunnan. Het is droog en zonnig in de lente van Zuid-Yunnan, wat ideaal is voor de verwerking van witte thee. De reden waarom het Moonlight White wordt genoemd, is dat het bovenste deel van het blad van deze witte thee donker is, terwijl het onderste deel van het blad erg wit is. 's Nachts zorgt het maanlicht ervoor dat het bovenste blad er wit uitziet, terwijl het donsgedeelte in het donker is.
Moonlight white heeft een hoog gehalte aan antioxidanten. In de Chinese geneeskunde is het koud van aard, wat lichaamswarmte kan afvoeren, ontstekingen kan tegengaan, veroudering kan tegengaan, de lever kan beschermen, het gezichtsvermogen kan verbeteren, kan helpen bij de vertering en het lichaam fit kan houden.
